Nestled conveniently along Southport Nerang Road, between Ashmore City and The Pit Stop, this charming local Chinese restaurant has transformed into a hidden gem worth discovering. While the past may have seen a less-than-welcoming owner, this time around, a delightful young server in a Beatles shirt brought the experience to life with her warm demeanor and infectious energy. As the smooth notes of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" filled the air, it became clear that the ambiance had taken a turn for the better, creating an inviting atmosphere that made dining here a joy.

The menu dazzles with an array of delicious options, ensuring that every palate is satisfied. With years of delightful takeout experiences from Highland Court Chinese Restaurant, I can confidently say I've never encountered a meal that missed the mark. Just last night, I savored their short soup, sweet and sour pork, and fried rice—all bursting with flavor and freshness. The quick 15-minute pick-up was a bonus, complemented by the ever-cheerful service that makes every visit feel special. Nestled in the Highland Park Shopping Complex, this gem is my top choice for authentic Chinese cuisine, and I eagerly anticipate my next culinary adventure here!

However, not every experience has been stellar. A recent visit left me disappointed; the sweet pork was overcooked, and the sweet and sour chicken was more batter than chicken, with barely enough sauce to enhance the dish. The dim sum, featuring a large pork ball, was encased in heavy batter that overshadowed its potential. While the service remains commendable, I hope for a return to the kitchen's previous excellence on my next outing.

3.Old Hong Kong Restaurant

My first experience at this restaurant was a disappointing adventure that I won't repeat. The Salt and Pepper chicken was a nightmarish blend of grey and black mush lurking beneath a deceptive batter, while the cashew chicken had an unsettling color and an even stranger aroma. After calling the owner to express my concerns, I realized that sometimes, venturing into the unknown can lead to culinary regret.

In stark contrast, my visit to another eatery for a pre-movie dinner was a delightful surprise. The all-you-can-eat buffet offered a vibrant selection, with dishes like beef in oyster sauce and Malay chili beef that were cooked to perfection. The casual atmosphere set the stage for a relaxed dining experience, and the food arrived hot and quickly. While I felt a twinge of disappointment over being overcharged, the tantalizing flavors and attentive service made it a memorable outing worth savoring.

Imagine savoring a dish so delectable that it transforms your perception of cauliflower—this was my first encounter, and it was nothing short of a revelation! This charming Chinese restaurant is a true gem, bursting with flavors, exceptional service, and remarkable value.

Nestled in a cozy shopping complex at the intersection of Ferry and Cotton Streets, Jade Gardens is a culinary haven that deserves every bit of its five-star reputation. Their $12 lunch special is a steal, served fresh and piping hot within minutes. Indulge your taste buds with an unforgettable culinary experience! Delight in the tantalizing flavors of the chili jam chicken and the heavenly chicken wontons, as recommended by the charming Coco. The service is swift and the staff exude warmth, making every visit a pleasure. This gem is a must-try for food enthusiasts seeking a burst of flavor in every bite!

However, not all dishes hit the mark. The kway teaw, made with thin flat rice noodles, falls flat, lacking the robust taste expected from its wider counterparts. Unfortunately, the experience is marred by poor customer service, excessive wait times, and incorrect orders. The Combination Seafood Laksa, ordered with extra tofu, disappoints with its blandness and missing ingredients. For a truly satisfying meal, it’s best to explore other options.

6.Rainbow Noodles & Bubble Tea -Nerang

Experience a burst of flavors with every dish and sip!

Rainbow Noodles & Bubble Tea -Nerang
  • Time:

Monday to Sunday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM

  • Rating: 3.7/5 (71 Review by google)
  • Address:

    57 Station St, Nerang

  • Popular Menu:

Rainbow Noodles, Bubble Tea, Spring Rolls, Teriyaki Chicken, Fried Rice

  • Price Range:

    $10 - $25 AUD

The vibrant presentation of the dishes promises an enticing culinary experience, yet the reality fell short with the fried rice, which lacked the robust flavors one would expect. Instead of the anticipated burst of taste, it resembled bland brown rice from a packet. However, the sweet and sour pork is a delightful exception, bursting with flavor, and the tender chicken paired with delicious noodles never fails to impress. Each visit has been a treat, especially with their exceptional bubble tea, which offers incredible value without compromising quality.

Nestled in the heart of Nerang, this gem shines as a top destination for Chinese cuisine and bubble tea, thanks to the dedicated owner and friendly staff who prioritize customer satisfaction. The hygienic kitchen ensures every bite is not only filling but also safe, with the Mongolian beef noodles standing out as a delicious highlight. For an unforgettable meal, I wholeheartedly recommend the rainbow noodles and bubble tea—your taste buds will thank you!
